The Power of a Gratitude Attitude

I hope that you are enjoying the Fall!  It is such a wonderful time of year when nature provides us with her mighty kaleidoscope of fiery colors before releasing them to go into winter stillness and regeneration.
The Harvest of the year is both a physical and spiritual bounty.  It is a time when we can reflect on all of the fruits of our labors and the results from the seeds we have sown in previous months.  It is a time when we gather–gather our energy, our thoughts, our emotions and take stock–reassess where we stand in our goals and intentions for the year before we turn the page of a new year.
As I reflect back on my year to date, I feel deep gratitude for all the beautiful and varied opportunities I have been given to serve and bring healing, peace and transformation to others.
Gratitude is a very high vibrational energy.  In scientific studies of the frequency of vibration, gratitude rates even higher than love!  Studies in neuroscience also reveal how when we focus on the pleasure of an experience, we activate positive brain chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin, which increase our energy of happiness and our ability to attract more happiness.
Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to keep reinforcing the positive in your life, for what you put your attention on increases and draws more of the same to you.  You can completely shift your energy to a high and therefore, magnetic vibrational energy when you keep stoking the fires of gratitude within you.  It takes 21 days minimum to really establish a new habit.  Try this simple exercise of finding 10 or more things to be grateful for each day for at least 21 days and watch how your gratitude grows and the magic increases in your life—including abundance!
